In November 2025, Trek issued a recall for certain Trek and Electra-branded bicycles equipped with coaster brakes<\/a>, as well as replacement rear wheels with coaster brakes. The coaster brakes can fail to engage, which may cause riders (especially children) to lose control and crash. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ride-on toys and bicycles are among the most recalled categories due to falls, crashes, helmet failures, and parts detaching. Routinely check the bike\u2019s condition, ensure helmets fit properly, and verify that they meet safety standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Similarly, there’s been a recent recall for 3-wheeled children\u2019s scooters sold by Konges Sl\u00f8jd<\/a>. The recall affected about 50 scooters after reports that the left front wheel could detach during use, causing falls and injuries. There were reports of broken arms and even a child losing a tooth. Parents are urged to discontinue use immediately and request a refund from the company. Helmet recalls are especially concerning because they defeat the very purpose of wearing a helmet \u2013 head protection. If you own one, treat this as an urgent matter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As many parents know, finding stocking stuffers that are worth the money is a difficult task. We often lead to affordable, small items that children will enjoy, and fidget spinners are all the rage right now! However, the CPSC issued a recall for Anzmtosn Magnet Fidget Spinner Sets<\/a> because their magnets are small and extremely powerful. If swallowed, they can become trapped inside a child\u2019s body, causing intestinal blockages, perforations, infections, or even death. Because of this serious risk, the recall asks all consumers to stop using the product and request a refund. Magnetic toys may look harmless and even fun, but as many safety experts stress, the dangers of magnet ingestion are real and severe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Also in November 2025, a recall was announced for children\u2019s silicone activity toys sold by Zippee<\/a> due to the risk of choking. If Santa dropped some glow sticks in your child\u2019s stocking this year, check to see if they were affected by this recall! <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pack \u2018n Plays or play yards can be a lifesaver for parents \u2013 when they are actually safe! Unfortunately, in November 2025, a recall was issued for Anna Queen play yards sold on Amazon<\/a> after it was discovered that infants can become entrapped under the mattress or trapped between the mattress and the side of the play yard, creating a serious risk of injury or even deadly suffocation. About 70 units were affected. Consumers are advised to stop using the play yards immediately and request a refund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Another popular baby gift was recalled in November 2025 \u2013 the 4-in-1 Baby Safety Cart Carriage sold through AliExpress. The stroller fails to meet mandatory federal safety standards<\/a> due to a defective restraint system that can fail during use. This creates a serious risk of falls and potentially life-threatening injuries. About 15 units were included in the recall. When purchasing baby transport products, especially those purchased from online marketplaces, it\u2019s important to check that they comply with certified safety standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Baby swings are supposed to be soothing for the baby, not dangerous. Yet, in November 2025, a recall was issued for Vevor Baby Swings sold by Sanven Technology<\/a>. These swings were marketed for infant sleep but feature an incline greater than 10 degrees \u2014 a direct violation of the mandatory safety standard for Infant Sleep Products and the federal ban on inclined sleepers under the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. Because inclined sleep products significantly increase the risk of deadly suffocation, the swings pose a serious hazard. About 1,020 units were affected. It\u2019s an important reminder that no infant product marketed for sleep should have an incline. Always double-check that baby gear follows the latest safe-sleep guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In many households, Christmas pajamas are a yearly tradition! That\u2019s why it\u2019s important to highlight that the Mallimoda Children\u2019s Pajama Sets were recalled after failing to meet mandatory federal flammability standards for children\u2019s sleepwear. Because the fabric does not properly resist ignition, the pajamas pose a risk of severe injuries or even deadly burn hazards to children<\/a>. About 2,100 sets were included in the recall. All children\u2019s sleepwear must meet strict fire-safety requirements, and even everyday clothing can become dangerous if it fails to comply. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Similarly, a recall was issued for Zigjoy Toddler Sleep Sacks with Feet<\/a> after they were found to violate mandatory flammability standards for children\u2019s sleepwear. Because the fabric does not meet required fire-safety levels, the sleep sacks pose a burn hazard and a risk of serious injury or even death to children. About 700 units were affected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, Umeyda Nightgowns for children<\/a> were recalled for the same issue \u2013 they failed to meet mandatory federal flammability standards for sleepwear, and therefore, pose a risk of burn injuries to children. About 200 units were included in the recall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Dolls and Barbies are the go-to gifts for young girls, but the Bettina Doll Set with Magic Light Unicorn was recalled for violating mandatory toy safety standards. The battery compartment of the unicorn contains button cell batteries that can be easily accessed by children<\/a>. If swallowed, these batteries can cause serious internal injuries, chemical burns, or even death. About 380 units were affected. Popular dolls with electronic features can pose serious hazards if battery compartments are not properly secured. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Even soft, seemingly safe plush toys can present hidden dangers for young children, especially when small parts are accessible. The Inkari Plush Alpaca Toys were recalled because the eyes on the toys can detach<\/a>, violating the small parts ban for children under three years of age. This poses a serious choking hazard, and about 64,000 units were affected.
