Casi mil millones de personas carecen de acceso a agua potable. Well Aware implementa sistemas de agua vitales para impulsar el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico y construir comunidades autosuficientes. Utilizan una planificaci\u00f3n y colaboraci\u00f3n realistas y responsables para ayudar a superar el problema de m\u00e1s del 60 % de los pozos de agua que actualmente no funcionan.<\/p>\n<p>Datos interesantes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Los ni\u00f1os pierden m\u00e1s de 400 millones de d\u00edas escolares cada a\u00f1o debido a enfermedades relacionadas con el agua, pero cuando hay agua disponible en la escuela, la asistencia mejora dr\u00e1sticamente.<\/li>\n<li>Se estima que las mujeres dedican 200 millones de horas a recoger agua cada d\u00eda. El suministro inmediato de agua potable les permite dedicar tiempo a trabajos remunerados, cuidar de la familia y asistir a la escuela.<\/li>\n<li>La falta de agua potable impide cualquier desarrollo comunitario, pero por cada $1 invertido en agua y saneamiento, se obtiene un retorno promedio de $4 en mayor productividad.<\/li>\n<li>La diarrea causada por agua contaminada es la segunda causa m\u00e1s com\u00fan de muerte infantil en todo el mundo: un ni\u00f1o muere cada 20 segundos.
