BRYAN, Texas \u2014 <\/strong>Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers has secured a $2 million settlement for a Rockdale construction worker injured in a motor vehicle collision on State Highway 21 in Bryan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crash occurred in Brazos County as the client was traveling eastbound in the outside lane of SH 21. Testimony in the case showed that the defendant was traveling westbound in the inside lane when his vehicle hydroplaned, crossed the center turn lane and entered both eastbound lanes, striking the front of the client\u2019s vehicle.  The head-on collision resulted in catastrophic damage to the client\u2019s vehicle, requiring him to be cut out of his vehicle.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The client sustained multiple serious injuries, including fractures to his face, femur and seven ribs. At the time of the crash, he worked in construction and has been unable to return to that work due to the extent of his injuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo our client, construction work was how he gave back to his community and how he measured his own value,\u201d said Cory Smith, attorney at Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers<\/a>. \u201cHe took pride in what he built with his own two hands.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smith said the case involved more than documenting medical treatment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen those injuries prevented him from returning to work, it stripped away more than a paycheck,\u201d Smith said. \u201cHe lost the ability to provide for others, and that loss of purpose became a central part of understanding the impact of the collision.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Smith, presenting the case required explaining how physical limitations can alter a person\u2019s identity when work is tied to manual skill and labor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis was someone whose sense of purpose was closely tied to what he could physically do each day,\u201d Smith said. \u201cThe resolution needed to reflect not only the injuries themselves, but what those injuries meant for his future.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case ultimately resolved through a $2 million settlement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRYAN, Texas \u2014<\/strong> Daniel Stark logr\u00f3 un acuerdo de $2 millones para un trabajador de construcci\u00f3n de Rockdale que result\u00f3 lesionado en un choque automovil\u00edstico en la Carretera Estatal 21, en Bryan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El choque ocurri\u00f3 en el Condado de Brazos cuando el cliente viajaba hacia el este por el carril exterior de la SH 21. De acuerdo con el testimonio presentado en el caso, el demandado circulaba hacia el oeste por el carrilinterior cuando su veh\u00edculo perdi\u00f3 tracci\u00f3n debido a hidroplaneo, cruz\u00f3 el carril central de giro e invadi\u00f3 ambos carriles en direcci\u00f3n este, impactando de frente el veh\u00edculo del cliente. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El choque frontal caus\u00f3 da\u00f1os catastr\u00f3ficos al veh\u00edculo del cliente, quien tuvo que ser rescatado y extra\u00eddo del autom\u00f3vil por los equipos de emergencia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El cliente sufri\u00f3 m\u00faltiples lesiones graves, incluyendo fracturas en el rostro, el f\u00e9mur y siete costillas. Al momento del choque, trabajaba en construcci\u00f3n y no ha podido regresar a esa labor debido a la gravedad de sus lesiones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
