GLP-1 Medication Injury Lawsuits

If you or a loved one have suffered severe gastrointestinal or gallbladder complications after taking a GLP-1 medication such as Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, Trulicity®, or Rybelsus®, you may be eligible to pursue compensation. These drugs, commonly prescribed for weight loss or type 2 diabetes, have been linked to serious and sometimes long-term injuries.

Who May Qualify for a GLP-1 Lawsuit

You may qualify for a GLP-1 injury claim if you meet the following criteria:

  • Medicamento: Use of a brand-name GLP-1 drug — Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, Trulicity®, or Rybelsus®
  • Duration: Used the medication for at least 2–3 months
  • Purpose: Prescribed for weight loss or diabetes
  • Injury:
    • Gastroparesis — a condition characterized by partial or complete paralysis of the stomach, leading to delayed gastric emptying
    • Severe intestinal obstruction (ileus) — a disruption of normal bowel function causing significant blockage of the intestines
    • Gallbladder disease resulting in cholecystectomy (surgical removal of the gallbladder) prior to 2022
  • Treatment: Emergency room or hospital visit required

Common GLP-1 Side Effects and Injuries

While many patients tolerate GLP-1 receptor agonists well, others experience debilitating side effects such as chronic nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dehydration, and severe gastrointestinal distress. In some cases, these symptoms progress to gastroparesis or intestinal blockage, requiring extensive medical treatment or surgery.

If you’ve been diagnosed with gastroparesis from Ozempic® or experienced gallbladder removal after Wegovy® use, you may have grounds for a GLP-1 drug lawsuit. Daniel Stark is now reviewing potential claims from patients who have experienced serious gastrointestinal or gallbladder complications following the use of GLP-1 drugs.
