We are excited to announce the opening of our newest office in South Austin!

Located at 1811 W Ben White Blvd, Suite 101, Austin, Texas 78704, the South Austin office offers legal services to residents who have suffered life-changing injuries due to motor collisions and other incidents.

Why did we open a second office in Austin?

The decision to open a second Austin office was driven by the city’s increasing population and car crash incidents.

As one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S., Austin has become the 10th largest in the nation and ranked 20th in severe traffic congestion in 2022. Between 2010 and 2020, the Austin metro’s population grew by a third and now has a population of over 2.2 million residents.

This population growth, coupled with more cars on the road, has resulted in an increase in car crashes and injuries caused by negligent drivers. In fact, last year saw 125 deaths on Austin roads due to vehicle collisions, the highest number in nearly four decades — with many of these wrecks involving distracted or impaired drivers.

With the addition of the South Austin location, Daniel Stark now has two offices in Austin, Texas, allowing us to better serve the local community and meet the growing demand for legal support. Austin residents can now easily access our team, eliminating the need to battle traffic for in-person visits.

Why is Austin’s population increasing?

Austin has seen a surge in popularity in recent years due to its booming tech enterprise. The city is now home to major corporations like Apple, Google, Tesla, and Space X, bringing thousands of job opportunities and talented engineers and entrepreneurs. This influx of professionals has led to a surge in population as more people move to Austin in search of exciting career opportunities.

With a growing population comes increased competition for limited road space, resulting in more drivers on the road and potentially more car collisions.

Additionally, due to an increase in people from other states moving to Austin, there could be drivers who may not be as familiar with local streets and regulations. Therefore, it is important for both North and South Austin residents to stay alert when driving, especially when the sun goes down.

Does Austin’s entertainment scene contribute to more injuries?

South Austin is renowned for its world-class live music scene, attracting some of the biggest names in the industry and hosting massive concerts. With a plethora of bars and clubs, there’s always something exciting happening in the city.

However, the thrill of Austin’s vibrant nightlife comes with its own set of risks. The popularity of music festivals across the country has led to larger crowds attending live music venues in South Austin. Alcohol consumption, exposure to harsh weather conditions, and risky behaviors like crowd diving can create a hazardous environment for concert attendees.

This lively atmosphere also means an increased likelihood of encountering intoxicated individuals driving at night and on weekends. Nighttime driving is inherently risky due to limited visibility and slower reaction times, but the presence of impaired drivers further escalates the potential for motor collisions.

If you’re planning to attend an live music event in South Austin, be cautious to avoid slips, crowd surges, and drunk drivers in the area.
