Car insurance is a billion-dollar industry. No matter what they might say in commercials about being on your side, insurance companies are in the business of making profits. How do they do that? Itโ€™s simple. By collecting premiums from their customers and denying as many claims as they can. To them, itโ€™s simply business. To an accident victim, itโ€™s much more.

In a personal injury case, there are basically three players: the victim, the defendant (the person who injured the victim), and the insurance company representing the defendant. Weโ€™ve found that most people who injure someone in a car wreck want to do the right thing. After all, thatโ€™s what they have insurance for. Unfortunately, the defendantโ€™s hands are pretty much tied after the accident. They couldnโ€™t help the victim even if they wanted to. Itโ€™s up to their insurance company now, and in our experience, doing the right thing isnโ€™t always on their radar.

Adding a fourth player into the game often helps: a lawyer. Without a lawyer, most accident victims settle too quickly for less money than they deserve. That money may be a welcome relief temporarily, but it more than likely wonโ€™t cover all the future medical expenses and lost wages resulting from their injuries.

Studies show that with a lawyer, accident victims get more money from the insurance company. In addition, a lawyer can stand between you and the insurance company, allowing you to concentrate on what matters most: getting better.
