Steven was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He received Bachelor’s degrees in psychology and philosophy from the University of Houston, where he was a collegiate baseball player. Steven then attended Texas Tech University School of Law. During law school, he earned a distinction award for trial advocacy and worked part time for a local Lubbock personal injury firm.

After earning his Juris Doctor, Steven began his career as an associate at an insurance defense firm in Lubbock, Texas. As a defense attorney, he handled a variety of personal injury matters, including automobile wrecks, house fires, and work place injuries. This experience allowed Steven to learn how the “other side” operates, which helps him prevent his clients from being taken advantage of by big insurance.

In his free time, Steven enjoys weight training, traveling, fishing, playing poker, and following sports of all kinds. Steven currently lives in College Station with his wife, Bianca, and son, Nolan.
