We all love spending extra time with our children. The excitement of being out of school brings lots of giggles and play time! Laughter fills the house as the kids run through the hall… until something breaks. We’ve all been there! Sometimes, we just need to go on an adventure to get out of the house for a while. 

With the long weekend approaching and bringing some high temperatures with it, we have crafted a list of indoor playscapes in Round Rock, Texas and surrounding areas. You can keep your child entertained while they are out of school, while keeping them out of the sun! 

Tot Box Play Cafe 

Voted Best of Round Rock, Tot Box Play Cafe was built with parents in mind! This indoor playscape allows kiddos to run free, while parents sit back, drink a cup of coffee, and mingle with other parents! 

This playscape is best for children of ages 1-6. Your child can get a warm hug from Tot Box Teddy, slide down into the ball pit, push their shopping cart around Tot Box Market, live out their dream of being a firefighter at the Tot Box Fire Department, and browse through the rest of the tiny play community. 

Each play session is 2 hours long. They offer plenty of snacks and drinks for children, and even have coffee and a mini pancake bar! If you need a spot to take the littles to run off some energy, book time at the Tot Box Play Cafe. 

Playstreet Museum 

Another gem highlighted as one of the best indoor playscapes in Round Rock, Playstreet Museum is a great place for toddlers and children up to 8 years old! Your kiddos can explore the great outdoors from the safety of these indoor exhibits. 

With exhibits based around fishing, camping, and creating your own adventure, these provide an immersive, hands-on learning experience for all guests – we’re talking to you mom and dad! Beyond the playtime, you can stop by the Craft Co. and allow your child to show off their creativity through painting, pottery, and creating their own slime! 

Each play session is 1 and a half hours long. All members of the family are welcome to come, with children younger than one and older than eight having free admission with a paying sibling. While snacks and drinks are not provided, you are more than welcome to bring outside food and drinks to enjoy outside of the play area. 

Mt. Playmore 

If you want an indoor playscape that’s exciting for the whole family, Mt. Playmore in Austin may be the place for you! Mt. Playmore is the largest indoor playscape in Texas with a padded jungle gym play structure, an arcade, kiddie rides, and a special play area for toddlers! 

You can play all day! No need to leave for lunch, the playscape offers a wide variety of food choices like appetizers, salads, burgers, and – everyone’s favorite – pizza! They also have carnival style desserts like fried oreos, ice cream, and brownies. Load them up with their favorite treats, then back to playing to run off all of that energy! 

Everyone is welcome from newborns to adults, though the play areas are not built for anyone over the age of 16. Parents can sit back and enjoy a 360-degree view of the play area to keep a close eye on the kiddos, or lay back in an onsite massage chair. Reservations aren’t necessary, you can purchase tickets at the door. 

Indigo Play 

Indigo Play in Austin is another exciting indoor playscape for all ages! This venue has a large educational playscape, an imagination play area, a sensory room, and a special area designated for babies and toddlers. Shoes cannot be worn in the play area and socks are required for every attending guest. 

Head over to Indigo Play this weekend, Friday April 18th, for a fun and exciting Easter egg hunt. Arrive around 8:30am, the fun begins when gates open at 9:00am! This event is included with the price of admission. Send your child off to play with their Easter basket! As they explore the playscape, they can find and collect hidden Easter eggs. 

An admission fee is required, though children under 5 months are free to enter and adult tickets are highly discounted at only $3!
